In my last position, I was employed by the people of Ohio and serve the public trust as an assistant professor who specialized in post-1870s America within the Ohio State University's Department of Educational Studies' philosophy and history of education program with an affiliate membership within the university's Department of History. In addition to my work in educational history and philosophy, I have interests in the histories of Asian and African America, childhood, consumerism, technology, masculinity, photography, and foodways. I also researched private and "small" decentered cultures and social military histories.
