There are many myths about the most “deadliest, sexiest and beardiest” man alive. Despite these exaggerations, Chuck Norris was a well-known figure of action hero movies in the 1980s and 1990s. Film titles like Missing Action, Delta Force, Sidekicks etc. accompanied a whole generation and to this day, there are a lot of fans who confirm the effects of the movies during their youth. Furthermore, the films of Chuck Norris reflect American society during the last decades of the Cold War. Hence, they created images of martial arts heroes doing karate images of and the Cold War itself. Besides, they made Chuck Norris the most masculine guy on earth, which grew into an Internet cult phenomenon in the late 2000s. The aim of this study is to highlight the different effects and the influence of his movies, television shows, and religio-political writings.
